From remote desktop, start internet explorer, go to:<\/p>\n
https:\/\/IP (IPMI)
\nDefault login as: USER_NAME\/PASSWORD ( for HP box)<\/p>\n
\u2014> from web console, go to \u201cLicensing\u201d under \u201cadministration\u201d, install \u201cActivation Key\u201d from other host if no key installed, otherwise, skip it.
\n\u2014> go “remote console” \u2014> run \u201cLaunch”
\n\u2014> on keyboard above in window, choose \u201cCTR-ATL-DEL\u201d
\n\u2014> Follow window\u2019s pop-ups, do add..add, then start
\n\u2014> in next window, choose \u201cF10\u201d \u2014> choose HP smart administration
\n\u2014> Array Config \/ Config \/ Create Array
\n \u2014> select first 2 disk \u201c600GB\/600GB\u201d as flag-ed \u2014> create array
\n \u2014> choose \u201crard 1\u201d, “64kb\/64kb\u201d \u2014> create logical drive.
\n\u2014> Go to “Array Config \/ Set bootable Logical Drive \/Volume\u201d\/select \u201dLogical Drive 1” in the first line for first logical boot disk ( two checks need to done), then save.<\/p>\n
\u2014> Array Config \/ Config \/ Create Array
\n \u2014> select 4 of 6 disks as flag-ed \u2014> create array
\n \u2014> choose \u201crard 10\u201d, “64kb\/64kb\u201d \u2014> create logical drive\/Manage Spare Drive\/select last 2 disk\/ save \/finish<\/p>\n
\u2014> exit windows, then power off \/ on at window in up-right corner\/reboot, wait until boot window showing up, choose \u201cinstall ESXi\u2026\u201d, the install will done automatically in next 20 \u201430 minutes.<\/p>\n

–> From firefox: go to http:\/\/IP (IPMI)
\n–> Login defaul: USER_NAME\/PASSWORD<\/p>\n
–> Choose \u201cKeep Default Password\u201d
\n–> Check \u201ciDRAC Settings\u201d\/Network\/IPv4 Settings to confirm IP info
\n–> go to \u201cOverview\u201d\/Server\/Quick Launch Tasks\/ \u201cPower On \/ OFF\u201d, click it to have \u201cPower State\u201d show \u201cON\u201d
\n–> Launch \u201cVirtual Console Preview\u201d, once the console is up, choose \u201cMacros\/Ctrl-Alt-Del\u201d to reboot, then from
\n–> Windows Kayboard, hit \u201cCtrl+R\u201d to go to Bios,
\n–> inside Bios, go to the top line \u201cPERC H710P****\u201d, then \u201cfn+f2\u201d if you use Mac keyboard, from windows Keyboard, –> directly hit \u201cF2\u201d, then \u201cCreate New VD\u201d, return\/enter to choose \u201craid-1\u201d, select first two disk, give \u201cVD Name\u201d –> as \u201cboot\u201d, select \u201cAdvanced Settings\u201d\/ \u201cInitialize\u201d, then \u201cOK\u201d to save,<\/p>\n
–> Move cursor to top line again, hit enter, to start other disk disk group \u201cRaid 10\u201d setup, select first 4 disk, –> leave 2 disk NOT selected, give \u201cVD Name\u201d as \u201cdata\u201d, then select \u201cAdvanced Settings\u201d\/initialize\/ok, then select –> \u201cConfigure HotSpare\u201d next to \u201cinitialize\u201d, then ok, then select last 2 disk for \u201cHot Spares\u201d, OK to save.<\/p>\n
–> Verify, then \u201cesc\u201d to exit the setup, then \u201cMacros\/Ctrl-Alt-Del\u201d to reboot.<\/p>\n
–> Done.<\/p>\n
